Five reasons students
choose Pradita University

We don't just prepare you for a job — we prepare you for the professional world as it actually operates. Every program is co-designed with the 30+ companies that employ our graduates.

Conceptual Study, Action Learning

Theory and field expertise taught together. Each course combines academic foundations with direct real-world application — you learn a concept in lecture on Monday and apply it to a real industry problem by Friday. This teaching philosophy is drawn from Summarecon's operational excellence principles and validated through 6 years of graduate outcome data.

Real Case, Real Experience

Students work on actual industry briefs from day one. Final projects are solutions for real companies — not classroom exercises. In Year 3, studio teams have delivered fraud detection algorithms to DANA, recommendation systems to Tokopedia, and architectural sustainability assessments to Summarecon — with companies using the work in production.

Academics × Active Practitioners

Faculty combines PhD researchers with active professionals still working in industry — bringing both rigor and relevance. You'll learn software engineering from a current DANA Principal Engineer, UX from a Tokopedia product designer, and hospitality operations from an active Ascott F&B manager, all in the same week.

Direct Industry Access

30+ corporate partners embedded across the curriculum including Summarecon, DANA, XL Axiata, Metrodata, Tokopedia, Ascott Hotels, Yokogawa, Nexsoft, Indomaret, Indivara, Airmas Asri, Paul Bocuse Lyon, Vivere, and more. Partners contribute case studies, guest lectures, paid internships, and direct recruitment pipelines — many students receive job offers before graduating.

Holistic Learning Infrastructure

Our Gading Serpong campus in Summarecon Serpong offers 80+ hectares of integrated learning, living, and recreation environment. Classrooms, labs, libraries, dormitories, sports facilities, 6 cafés, and commercial centers — all within a 10-minute walk. Designed as a small college town where academic, social, and professional growth happen together.

Twelve programs
taught in English & Indonesian

Choose a Bachelor's, Diploma, or Master's program. Six programs are taught fully in English; the remaining six offer bilingual tracks with all core materials available in both languages.

Why study
in Indonesia?

Four reasons international students are looking beyond Singapore, Malaysia, and Australia — and choosing Indonesia as their destination for higher education.

01

Fastest-growing digital economy in ASEAN

Indonesia's digital economy is projected to reach USD 360 billion by 2030 — larger than Singapore and Malaysia combined. Home to Gojek, Tokopedia, Traveloka, DANA, and Bukalapak. If you want to work in tech, you want to be here.

02

Affordable world-class education

Tuition at Pradita is 30–40% lower than comparable Australian, Singaporean, or Hong Kong universities — without compromising on quality. Total annual cost of living and tuition for international students: USD 6,500–9,500, depending on program.

03

ASEAN hub with global reach

Jakarta is a 2-hour flight from Singapore, 3 hours from Kuala Lumpur, 4 hours from Bangkok. Indonesia is the largest economy in Southeast Asia and the 16th largest in the world. English is increasingly the working language in multinational offices.

04

Welcoming, diverse, safe

Indonesia is home to 17,000 islands, 300+ ethnic groups, and 6 officially-recognised religions. Halal food is available everywhere. Muslim prayer spaces are standard in every building. The university district in Serpong is consistently rated as one of the safest areas near Jakarta.

Program Overview

Software engineering
for the real world

Pradita's Bachelor of Informatics is Indonesia's most industry-connected computer science program. Launched in 2019 with Summarecon Group as founding industry partner, the program has evolved into a four-year journey that combines mathematical and theoretical computer science foundations with hands-on software engineering experience at real Jakarta tech companies.

Every semester, students work on at least one project brief sourced directly from our industry partners — DANA's fraud detection engineers, Tokopedia's recommendation team, Metrodata's enterprise architecture group, and XL Axiata's network operations center all contribute active, unsolved problems to our studio curriculum. Students present solutions to the companies at semester-end showcases.

What makes this program distinctive

  • Four specialization tracks from Year 3 onward: Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Software Engineering & Cloud, Cybersecurity, and Enterprise Systems.
  • Fast-Track 3+2 pathway to MCUT Taiwan — complete three years at Pradita, two at Ming Chi University of Technology, and graduate with both Bachelor's and Master's degrees.
  • Mandatory industry internship of 6 months in Year 4, with 30+ partner companies including Summarecon, DANA, Tokopedia, Metrodata, Yokogawa, Nexsoft.
  • Research opportunities from Year 2 under faculty supervision, with annual publication opportunities in student research journals.
  • BAN-PT "Unggul" accreditation — the highest national accreditation, awarded to only 16% of Indonesian informatics programs in the 2026 review.

Who this program is for

Students who want careers at the intersection of rigorous computer science and real-world product engineering. If you're planning to work at a major Indonesian fintech or tech company after graduation — or continue to a Master's program at MCUT Taiwan, NUS, or a Japanese university — this program is designed to prepare you.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you
need to know

Our most-asked questions from international applicants. Can't find what you're looking for? Our AI Chat handles 80% of questions instantly — or email international@pradita.ac.id.

Can I apply to any of Pradita's programs as an international student?
Yes — all 12 undergraduate programs and the Master of Information Technology accept international applicants. Six programs are taught fully in English: Informatics, Business Information System, Business Management, Hospitality & Tourism, Visual Communication Design, and Information Technology (Master's). The remaining six programs offer bilingual tracks where core materials are in both Bahasa Indonesia and English — sufficient if you're willing to learn some Bahasa alongside your coursework.
What English proficiency do I need?
IELTS 6.0 (with no band below 5.5) or TOEFL iBT 80 (with writing ≥20) — or equivalent in Duolingo English Test (score 110+). Applicants from English-medium secondary schools are exempt with a letter of certification from the principal. Students who don't meet the threshold but are otherwise strong candidates can be admitted conditionally, with a requirement to pass our pre-sessional English course in July–August before the September intake.
What scholarships are available for international students?
Four main scholarship types, stackable with each other: (1) ASEAN Pathway — fixed 50% tuition reduction for citizens of ASEAN countries; (2) Merit-Based — 25–35% for high GPA (3.8+) or strong IELTS (7.5+); (3) MCUT Fast-Track — up to 100% for Informatics students accepted into the 3+2 dual-degree (funded by Taiwan ICDF); (4) Early Bird — additional 15% for applications completed before 31 May 2026. Most applicants qualify for at least two. Use our scholarship calculator on the Scholarships page for a personalized estimate.
How does the Indonesian student visa process work?
Once you accept your offer, our International Student Office (ISO) files your VITAS application directly with the Indonesian embassy in your home country — on your behalf. The process takes 4–6 weeks. Upon arrival in Indonesia, the VITAS is converted to KITAS (Indonesian limited stay permit) within the first 30 days — ISO handles all paperwork including immigration visits and fingerprinting. 100% success rate over 240+ students processed. See the Student Support page for a week-by-week timeline.
Is on-campus accommodation available?
Yes — Pradita Residence Hall on the Gading Serpong campus has 120 beds in shared twin rooms (IDR 2–3M/month). Application opens with your acceptance letter. Alternatively, we partner with Scientia Gardens Apartment (5 min walk from campus, IDR 4–5M/month for private studios) and Summarecon Serpong Residences (10 min shuttle, IDR 5M/month). A homestay program with 14 vetted Indonesian families is also available (IDR 3.5M/month, includes meals). See the Student Support page for full details.
What's the total cost of studying at Pradita per year?
For a typical international Informatics student (before scholarships): Tuition: IDR 56M/year (2 semesters × IDR 28M); Living cost: IDR 48–60M/year (housing + food + transport + phone); One-time enrollment fee: IDR 12M (Year 1 only); Health insurance: IDR 2.5M/year (included for int'l students). Total Year 1: approximately IDR 118–130M (USD 7,400–8,200). For subsequent years: IDR 106–120M (USD 6,600–7,500). With typical ASEAN+Early Bird scholarship stack (65%), Year 1 net cost drops to approximately USD 3,000–3,500.
Can I work part-time while studying?
Student KITAS holders may undertake on-campus paid assistantships (e.g., research assistant, teaching assistant, library assistant — typical rate IDR 60–100k/hour) and approved industry internships coordinated through Pradita's career office. External commercial work requires a work permit conversion (ITAS-to-work-authorization). We help arrange this for students beyond Year 2 who receive formal job offers. All students complete a mandatory 6-month paid internship in Year 4 as part of the curriculum.
What's campus life like for international students?
We currently have 220+ international students representing 18 countries — Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Singapore, Brunei, India, China, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, and a growing number from Middle Eastern and African countries. The International Student Association organizes weekly events ranging from cultural dinners to field trips (Yogyakarta, Bali, Komodo). Campus clubs include tech (Informatics Society, AI Club), sports (futsal, badminton, swimming), and creative (photography, music, e-sports). Halal food is available at all campus canteens.
What's the cost of living in Tangerang / Jakarta?
Gading Serpong (where campus is located) has significantly lower living costs than central Jakarta. Typical monthly budget for an international student: IDR 4–7 million (USD 250–440). Breakdown: housing IDR 2.5–5M, food IDR 1.5–2M, transport IDR 300–500k, phone/data IDR 150k, entertainment IDR 500k–1M. Tangerang has malls, restaurants, and coworking spaces within walking distance of campus. Jakarta is 45 minutes by train (IDR 20k one-way). Significantly more affordable than Singapore, Hong Kong, or major Australian cities — and comparable to Kuala Lumpur or Bangkok.
Can I continue to a Master's degree after Pradita?
Yes. Our Informatics graduates have continued to Master's programs at: MCUT Taiwan (through our Fast-Track 3+2 dual-degree), NUS Singapore (Computer Science), KAIST South Korea, Nagaoka University of Technology Japan (via MEXT scholarship), and University of Melbourne Australia. For business and hospitality programs, graduates continue to Institut Paul Bocuse Lyon, ESSEC Paris, and Monash Australia. Pradita also offers its own Master of Information Technology (S2) — a 2-year part-time program designed for working professionals, taught in English.
Do I need to speak Bahasa Indonesia?
Not for admission or academics — if you're in one of the six English-taught programs, all your lectures, assessments, and official communications will be in English. However, basic Bahasa will make your daily life significantly easier — ordering food, navigating public transport, chatting with Indonesian classmates. Pradita offers a free 12-week evening Bahasa course for international students, starting the week after orientation.
What's the application deadline?
For the September 2026 intake: the main application deadline is 30 July 2026. Early applications (before 31 May 2026) qualify for the 15% Early Bird scholarship and get priority housing allocation. For the February 2027 mid-year intake (available for select programs): deadline 30 November 2026. Applications are rolling — we review within 10 business days of receipt and typically issue acceptance decisions within 3 weeks. Late applications are accepted on a case-by-case basis if quota remains.
